Every plant featured in this piece was carefully collected and pressed over a period of many weeks. Each holds sentimental value: Baby's breath from my friend, Roses from my co-workers, Clovers from my college campus, an Orchid from Thai food with new co-workers, Pansies that remind me of my mom, etc.
Matthew 6 talks about how we have no reason to worry when we are in the hands of a more than capable Lord. Verses 28-29 explain how the Lord has made the flowers of the field beautiful, not from their ability but from His, and not even the wealthy could compete.
This verse just reminds me of God's intricate handiwork and glory in creation. The bright colors and delicate designs point to a magnificent creator.
